MAZOVIA REGION CENTRE OF CULTURE AND ARTS
The Mazovia Region Centre of Culture and Arts is the cultural institution of the Self-government of the Mazovian Voivodenship lying in the central part of Poland, called “Mazowsze”. Our mission is to support artistic creativity, participation in culture, and the protection and promotion of Mazovian tradition.
The principal aim of our activity is:
- To present high-quality art to inhabitants of towns and villages which are at a considerable distance from the cultural centres of the voivodenship,
- To educate children, young people and elderly persons in art and culture,
- To provide training seminars for cultural animators and improve the qualifications of the staff of local cultural institutions, as well as those of teachers at all levels of education,
- To support local initiatives in the area of culture and national heritage preservation.
We reach our goals by organizing, on the scale of the voivodenship, such events as contests, festivals, cyclical artistic events, as well as by publishing books. While remaining an institution run by the voivodenship administration, we also strive for international cooperation with foreign artists and cultural institutes. We are active in the following fields: music, fine arts, theatre, dance, cultural education, and socio-cultural education.
We address our activities to cultural creators and their audiences, professional and beginning artists, an audience with developed tastes as well as those who are taking their first steps towards discovering culture, institutes and private persons, those who are youngest, and those experiencing the autumn of their life. Everyone with and for whom we work is united by the desire to discover and live with culture, as well as to serve it.
