Culture (not) for all?
Data: October „Cut” / 16-18 November 2011
ShortCut Europe is an international encounter of culture animators, artists, creators and social activists. It is organized since 1996. The conferences are a reflection on the culture in the modern world. They create an international forum for public debate about culture and cultural education and an exchange platform for practical knowledge about cultural strategies and policies. The Warsaw conference will take place during the Polish Presidency in the EU.

Chamber Music Festival

On Sunday afternoons in July and August, classical music concerts take place in the open air. An almost 30-year-old tradition of organizing these concerts shows us that they have their permanent audience, which grows in number from concert to concert.

Caravan

The Caravan is a summer-time mobile artistic festival which is addressed to the inhabitants of small towns in Mazovia, where the roster of cultural activities during the summer is often, for many reasons, quite limited. A group of 40 actors, animators, circus artists, dancers, and storytellers creates a good atmosphere of creative entertainment in the visited places, and invites locals to actively take part in artistic events.

Mazovia in the Crown

Mazovian pearls of secular and religious architecture from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Baroque are the venue for the cyclical music concerts: “Mazovia in the Crown.”

In this way, we draw attention to interesting buildings of the former Mazovia duchy.

Mazovian Festival of Artistic Creativity of Disabled Persons "The Joy of Creation"

Children, young people and adults present artistic achievements in visual arts, music, dance, theatre, and poetry. All of the festival’s participants embody the idea of integration. All – not only the people acting on the scene, but also their instructors, caretakers, and the audience. They show how to break barriers and overcome inhibitions, create an atmosphere of mutual acceptance and understanding. Working together and common experiences create the strongest bond between participants.

Festival of Arts

This annual cycle of artistic and educational events features materials from which a work of art is made. Through artistic events – happenings, performances, expositions of objects and installations, artistic acts, and workshops – the project inspires creativity and reflections on the importance of municipal space as a place for the creation and presence of art.
