1st EDITION OF MAZOVIA FILM FUND COMPETITION In October 2010, Mazovia Film Found announced the 1st edition of the film production support competition whose goal is to support the film projects that are carried out in the Mazovia Voivodship and could contribute to economic and tourism promotion of the region as well as create favourable image of the region. Mazovia Region Centre of Culture and Arts will participate in the projects selected in the course of the competition as a co-producer with a financial contribution. Budget for the 1st edition of the competition amounts to PLN 1 million (250,000 EURO). The basic criterion to qualify film projects for the competition is based on the requirement that film production must be related to the Mazovia Voivodship with respect to film production localization, theme, subject or participation in the projects of authors and entrepreneurs from the Mazovia Voivodship and the amount of budget to be spent in the region.

Mazovia Film Fund (the term "Mazovia" refers to the central region in Poland) was founded in 2010 by the Local Government of Mazovian Voivodship and operates within the structures of the Mazovia Region Centre of Culture and Arts.
